Week #78

Querida Familia,

I am still so grateful and happy for chance I had to talk to you guys and hear your experiences and share of my crazier ones that are just better saying than writing! :) I am extremely grateful for the safety and health of everyone and I continue to pray that it will stay that way! I loved talking to everyone and sharing my testimony!

Sounds like this week coming up is going to be busy but super fun! It reminds me when I graduated and we had a blast with the family members and all those embarrassing moments with Kelly haha :) But Mom I know that your party planning is going to go through and be awesome! I am super jealous that you didn't plan my senior party! So don't worry about it too much and it will all turn out super good!

This was a long week! I don't know why! I have had a lot to do! President assigned me a few tasks that he didn't even know how to do, so I have been thinking of how and what I can do to complete them! So its been a little stressful, and also next week are changes! So we have been planning for another crazy week!

The investigators have been a little neglected this week...but luckily they are all still progressing and going strong for their date! Especially J.! He is so smart! He is the first investigator that I have that puts it together without us having to explain it! He just started 2 Nephi and he is loving it. We have given him a teaching record and every time we go we ask him what he wants to learn and we teach the principles and he eats it up! He easily accepted the Law of Chastity and the Word of Wisdom this week! We are super excited for him!

Well now for some bad news...the meet the Mormons on the university campus was not approved by the Missionary Department so we are a little sad! But we are still going to go on campus and proselyte using some Kiosks to help invite more people! We always have a back up plan!

With changes coming up there is a little mystery what will happen in the office, considering one is leaving and Elder J. has to train before he goes home! So Elder J. and I are getting along really well and have a lot of goals to accomplish! We are hoping to stay together for the longest time possible! I have learned a lot from him and I do get a long with him really well!

Well family, thank you so much for your time and your prayers, please give everyone my love and a big hug! Especially Megan for her GRADUATION and her BIRTHDAY! That is crazy! I love you all and pray for you always. I will write much more next week!

Love Always,
Elder Milton

Week #77

Hola Familia!

I cannot believe that May is here and that we are skyping tomorrow! I am so excited! But there is a little change instead of at 4PM I would like to do it at 5PM just because tomorrow we have an important visit tomorrow! So please let me know if that is an okay hour!

I haven't gotten the package yet and I am so sad! But I am sure it is coming soon! Megan's Prom pictures look really good! SO pretty!

This week was a super spiritual week! We sent off the Nivacle missionaries, welcomed home a Sister missionary from Brazil, taught almost all of our investigators! It was a jam packed week! I am excited to explain everything more fully tomorrow over skype!

I am doing super good! I don't have much time today, but tomorrow I will be able to explain all the experiences this week! I am cutting it short so I can get the response if we can do it tomorrow a little later! I love you guys! Talk to you tomorrow!

Love Always,
Elder Milton

Week #76

Family!

Here I am again! I am sorry to hear that the week was a little hard, but I am sure this one will be a much better one! Sounds like everyone is doing good in school and I am still without words every time I think that Megan is graduating and leaving! Its so exciting! Also Mike gave his High Council talk, which I would've been super nervous but sounds like he did super good!

This week I did have the chance to go through the temple and it was super amazing! Also I did escort Elder Se. which was super good and a good reminder for the importance of temples and how sacred they are! We finished the session up and he had a lot of questions which makes sense but I know that he really liked it and felt the spirit! I was also able to see Elder So., Elder St., and Elder Sa.! It was super spiritual and I loved it and got to hear testimonies of all the missionaries in that zone.

This week was good in the office. Some of the mission stats ended off good for April and others not so much. So that is always nerve racking reporting to President on behalf of the whole mission...but he is super patient and we are always looking for improvement. Other than that I was able to talk to a lot of landlords and help people with house problems, I guess the usual! Next week will be a special week because the Nivacle are heading to their missions! We are so excited for them but we know it is going to be  alot of work to finish up some last minute stuff!

Proselyting was super good this week! We are working with three people JB, MM, and OG and as of right now they all have baptismal dates for the 30th of May! So we are really trying to focus in on them and their families. We are also on the lookout for new people as always to teach and to help. We came up with a good idea! We have a college campus in our area that we want to show Meet the Mormons and make it a campus wide event. So we have President's permission and support so we just need permission from the dean and set a date!

Yes Elder J had a BLACK EYE and it got worse over the week! The best was on last Sunday when we had Stake conference and well President obviously noticed...so he asked us what happened and we said we were messing around...so he looked at me and told me to be careful with Elder J that he's really delicate and started laughing super hard! haha It caught me so off guard but now the wrestling matches are less violent haha!

Mothers Day I will be calling home on Sunday the 10th at 7PM Paraguay Time which is 4PM Arizona time I think? I am so excited and I hope that all can be there and President gave us an extra 10 minutes so we can skype for 50 minutes! The last time on the mission! :)

Well I love you all and I am so grateful for the time and prayers that you give me! I pray for all of you always and I miss you! I cant wait for next Sunday when we will see eachother! Have a wonderful week!

Love Always,
Elder Milton

Week #75

Hola Familia!

I just realized right now that Megan is going to graduate in less than a month! That is so crazy to me! And in short time after that she will be heading off to college! I am glad to know that Kali and Kody are doing excellent in school. Mike also gives his first HighCouncil talk that is way awesome! I gave my introductory talk to Mburucuya last Sunday which was last minute and I felt inspired to share about prayer and the importance on praying as a family. Which would use a lot of 3 Nephi 18. It went by good and I felt that I was able to express myself really well! People are always super surprised to hear that I am American and not a Latino for my accent which I attribute to all my latin companions and how hard they were with me! Haha

This week was a good week in the office. I kept busy updating stats and looking for lost baptismal records to help people get membership numbers. That seemed to take the majority of the time I had this week. I would occupy the rest of the time with talking to landlords and renewing contracts and getting repairs done!

Proselyting this week was probably one of the best since I have gotten to the office! Elder J. really has snapped into shape! It took a lot of motivation and a lot of hard talking but he has been revived to get back into the rhythm and now is a super hard worker! I am super happy because I know God answered my prayers and helped him to get back on his feet! We are getting a lot great actually haha...maybe a little too good! Last night we got home and decided to have a wrestling match! So we put the mattresses on the ground and we went at it! Well we finished because I accidentally gave him a black eye with my elbow! It was so funny! And now tomorrow we have stake conference and we are hoping nobody notices! Anyways the investigators are doing good! We are hoping that all go tomorrow with us to stake conference.

This upcoming week is going to be a special week! I will be able to go through the Paraguayan Temple to do a session! But also President has asked me to go through with a new missionary that has received his endowments so I will be his escort! So I am super excited! Elder Sa., Elder So., and Elder St. are going to go through too! I am so happy! My last temple trip with most of my old companions :)

Well this was a quiet week but I am sure this next week will be super crazy! Thank you for writing and praying for me as always! I love you and have you in my heart at all times! I will be writing much more next week!

Love Always,
Elder Milton
