Week #33

Dear Family,

I am really sorry to hear that this week camping didn't really turn out
like the other times we had! However I am really happy to hear about
the rain! That is a really big blessing! The stories definitely put a
huge smile on my face wit Kody and Kali leaving the tent hahahaha!

This week was a really strange week weather wise! I had unpacked all
my winter gear! Well for nothing! It was sooo hot and humid this week,
well until Sunday. Which seems to be the story of Paraguay! When it is
hot like inferno people have no problem attending church, but when it
is cold...the world has ended and we can hardly encounter people! So
it was really hot this week and then really cold on Sunday. I just
laugh at how dramatically it changes, but I love the cold! This week I
was reminded of how hot it is hear and needless to say I am not
excited...but the mission goes on!

Well this week was another week of service! Which are always my
favorite! It started out with an odd form when a sister asked us if we
could help her take her food from the Bishop's store house and drop it
off at her house. Well first we had to get permission from our zone
leader who lives with us so that was easy enough! The bishop's store
house is about a 45 minute bus ride away from our area and the things
are really heavy so the service was warranted! Well we get there and
there is a HUGE line of people waiting to get their things! This
Hermana was waiting in line for her turn so we waited with her for a
minute but then I decided that we were going to help inside to make
things go a little bit faster! Well we go inside and I am approached
by an Elder that was in the CCM with me! He is from Paraguay and he
was called to serve in Uruguay but he has a problem with his blood so
he had to come home and now is serving as a service missionary! He was
so happy to see me! It was awesome to catch up and to see his face
when I spoke to him in fluent Spanish! He was quite impressed! Anyways
we helped in the bagging and sealing department for 2 hours to get
people through the line and the people were really grateful! I had fun
so it was an honor and blessing to help!

Our next service included cleaning a backyard for a family that I have
really grown to love! They are the C. Family, we are working to
reactivate them and also to convert the husband/dad. Well this service
was special because I tucked Moroni away and used a weed eater! It was
fun! And I am sure Moroni was a little jealous! But we cleaned it up
good and the dad/husband was really impressed! I told him that it
looks so good because we have one Mexican working(Elder G) and
one fake Mexican(Me) haha he got a good laugh!

Well the congregation that we are teaching is really progressing! We
have definitely made our point that the Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints is the only true church in the world. Now it is up
to them to pray and receive their own testimonies! They love the Book
of Mormon! We read with them this week Alma 32 and they ate it up!
They would've attended this Sunday but their church had their yearly
Sacrament. So we really tried to convince them but it was a no go this
week for them!

This week was much better than last week and I tried to keep my chin
up high! I am always so grateful to be raised and taught these
principles! I know that I am doing the best thing I could be doing
right now, and I am so grateful for my testimony and for the Lord
Jesus Christ. I am thankful for the love and support at home and know
that you are all in my prayers! I love you and I will write you more
soon!

Love,
Elder Milton

P.S. My assignment for you all is to read Alma 34! Tell me how it goes!
