Week #34

Mi Querida Familia,

Well this week turned out to be a good week! It was really hot but Elder G and I worked hard equally I feel! This week included a Zone conference with the President and it was really good! He is really hammering us to memorize these 100 scriptures so that we can be better teachers! I am really trying and I enjoy it so I dont have any problem! Also he taught us and asked us how we thought Jesus taught. What made him such a great teacher! It was something that I never thought of but he invited us to teach more like the Savior taught! So Elder G and I have tried to apply this in our teaching this week with the Book of Mormon of course! Which brings up the question: Did you guys read Alma 34? Well the next assignment is more for Megan but the family should read it with her also! Preach My Gospel chapter 1!

Well the Q family is proving to be tough! We taught them again this week two times! We learned a little more about their congregation and it seems that their pastor in a dream received instruction that he needed to start a new church to restore all the things that were lost when Christ died and also his Apostles! So they asked us what is the difference between their church and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints? Well we read with them Matthew 7 and I don't know it perfectly in English but should say something like Through the fruits we would know if Joseph Smith was a false prophet! And his fruit is The Book of Mormon. So really the problem with them is they don't read the Book of Mormon! So we really urged them t continue to read it personally and not only with the missionaries!

The A Family attended church again and are progressing! They were inactive for 4 years and now we have helped them return to the church! Their son M will be baptized on Saturday! They are a special family! Endowed and sealed so we really needed to help them come back to the church and receive a calling! So they are doing really well!

It was weird this week because we encountered a lot of people with the same doubts! So I wanted to ask you guys if you know how to resolve these doubts! We heard at least 5 times this week that we are Saved by faith not by works. So the question is why do we need to be baptized if we only need faith to be saved? :) I am anxious to hear your answers!

Well this week came and went really fast! One of my companions Elder V is going home this week! So he is really excited but The time is passing by super fast! I feel that I am working hard but as always I can be better! Thank you guys for your love and support! I pray for you always and I love you! I will write more next week!

Love,
Elder Milton
